• Who are you guys?

The memolio™ team is an interesting and diverse group. We live in The Netherlands and come from four different countries. Weto create, and merge new technologies. Read more on the about us page.

• What is a memolio™ album?

memolio™ albums are a fantastic new kind of album created using a brand new web-to-print application. Compact and durable, these albums are designed to be shared!

• What can I do with a memolio™?

The possibilities are endless! Make an album of your special moments, for yourself, friends or family. They are a thoughtful gift  memolio™ albums are also an incredibly useful business and teaching tool. Use it as a promotion, reference or instructional album. • What is the size of a memolio™?

The memolio™ measures 103mm x 62mm x 5mm. (app. the size of your iPhone)

• What is the memolio™ album made of?

memolio™ albums are printed on durable, bright white paper that is perfectly optimised for digital printing to produce vibrant images. All albums are made with certified paper from trees harvested according to guidelines meant to ensure good forestry practices.

• How do I create an account?

Registration is easy. Click here or on the ‘Sign in or Register’ link in the upper right-hand corner of the page. Choose a username & password, enter your e-mail address, and verify that you are 16 years of age or older.

• What is a temporary membership?

Temporary membership is a way for you to try out memolio™ without purchasing an album. With a temporary membership you can make up to 3 free online albums and share them with family and friends. Your albums will remain active on the website for 90 days. If you choose to order your album within those 90 days your membership will be upgraded to Full and you’ll be able to make 10 free online albums for every memolio™ album you order!

• What is full membership?

Full membership gives you unrestricted access to all website features & services including 10 free online albums for every memolio™ you order. That means if you order 1 album, you get to make 10 additional free online albums. If you purchase 2 albums, you get to make 20 free online albums. Membership and your albums remain active for 1 year from the date you purchase your last memolio™ album.

• What is a Pro account?

Geared towards professionals and entrepreneurs the memolio account will give you the freedom to completely customize and design your memolio™ albums from cover to cover. The cost is €25 per year. You can choose to create either a Classic or a Pro album with the with the memolio tools in the memoliator™application. Pro account users receive an additional extra 10% discount on bulk orders 25 and over.

• How do I upgrade my account to Pro?

To upgrade to a memolio account, just visit this page and add the upgrade to the cart. After payment is received, your account will be upgraded to Pro for a year. This is visible by the Pro label next to your name.

• How long is my Pro account valid?

Your memolio account will be active for a year. 30 days before expiration, we will send you a reminder e-mail to give you the choice to extend your subscription for another year.

• Forgot your password?

Not a problem. Click on the ‘Forgot Password’ link on the ‘Sign in or Register’ page and follow the instructions or click here.

• I can’t log into my account, what do I do?

First make sure you are entering the correct username. Check the confirmation e-mail we sent you when you created your account. If your username is correct then it’s highly likely that the password you’re entering is incorrect. Make sure your Caps Lock is turned off. You can reset your password by clicking on the ‘Forgot your password?’ on the ‘Sign in or Register’ page and follow the instructions or click here.

• How can I update or correct my information?

You currently can only change your password. Privacy settings are set for eachmemolio™ individuall

• Can I choose more than 24 images?

No, the memolio™ is designed to hold exactly 24 of your images.

• What type of Image File should I use?

All photos must have a .jpg, .gif or .png extension.

• What is the best file size for uploading images?

The more pixels we get from you, the better
But maximum file size per image is 5 Mb.

• What is the best image resolution for my album?

Don’t worry, our image conversion software will take care of this. It will optimize your images for print production. For optimal quality your image should be at least 1292 x 803 pixels at 300 Dpi including 35 pixels bleed on each side (109.4 x 68 mm, including 3 mm bleed on each side). This is excluding a zoom factor. If you’d like to zoom in on your image, please use a minimum of twice this size as the build-in zoom factor is 200%.

• What is the maximum aspect ratio for my images?

The maximum aspect ratio of an image that we allow, is 2.7. An image with 1000 x 2700 pixels is ok, but an image with 1000 x 2800 pixels is not. If you want to use an image that exceeds our max. aspect ratio, you will need to make it a less wide or tall with an image editor like Adobe Photoshop or Picasa, and upload again.

• My images are taking a long time to upload, what’s wrong?

Your images are probably quite large and your internet connection may be a bit slow. Just give it some time.

• My pictures won’t upload. What do I do?

Make sure that you have the latest flash plugin which you can download here. Also, make sure your image size doesn’t exceed the limit of 5 Mb. If you’re image size is good and you have the latest flash plugin and it still doesn’t work pleasecontact us and we’ll help you figure it out.

• Can I send in a CD or disk and have you upload my photos?

Sorry but no. Might we suggest that you use a friend’s computer or perhaps one at the library? It’s super easy to create an album and takes only a few minutes.

• How do I rearrange my pictures?

Re-arrange your images using the drag & drop function. Simply place your cursor over the thumbnail you’d like to reposition, click, don’t let go, and drag the image to the position you’d like, then release.

• How do I delete an image?

Place your cursor over the thumbnail of the image that you’d like to delete. Click the little green ‘x’ button that appears on the top right side to delete the image.

• How do I edit my images?

Hit the little ‘edit’ button on the thumbnail and Zoom in and out using the – and + on the slider. Drag & drop your image into the position you’d like. You can also rotate both Left and Right. Fine tune your image position by using the Up, Down,Left and Right arrows. Keep those bleed lines in mind! If you’re not happy with your results, you can always hit Undo or the Reset buttons.

• What are ‘bleed’ lines?

Bleed lines are the white lines around your picture. Pay careful attention to these as your picture will be cut on the inner, thicker line. The purpose of these bleed lines is to provide a safety margin for print production. The bleed for your images is 3 mm or 35 pixels on each side.

• How do I change the color of my album?

Use the color picker down at the bottom on the right side and choose one of the 24 colors provided. You can see your changes immediately.

• How do I give a title & description to my album?

You give your memolio™ a title and description by editing the ‘Back cover inside’ thumbnail on the right hand side. Click on the first line to add album title and use the next four lines to add a description of your album. Note that the date you create your memolio™ will automatically be listed at the bottom of this page.

• Is my memolio™ going to look exactly like the online preview?

Yes. But keep in mind that your computer resolution and display settings might make the colors of your online album and printed memolio™ look a bit different.

• Can I edit my album after the preview?

Yes, it’s super easy. Just navigate back to your edit page using the top navigation bar. If your memolio™ is already saved, click the ‘finish’ button on your ‘my memolios’ page on the website.

• What is the cost of a memolio™?

One memolio™ album costs €13.99 including taxes and shipping. That’s it!

• Do you offer discounts for bulk or multiple orders?

We certainly do. The more you order the more you save. For every secondmemolio™ album or voucher you order, you receive a discount. Details of the discounts are below and are automatically applied when you order through the website.

Order 1-20:	10% off every 2nd album
Order 21-50:	15% off every 2nd album
Order 51-100:	20% off every 2nd album
Order 100+:	25% off every 2nd album

• Can I change my album after I have ordered it?

No. Once you have finished & saved your album, no further changes can be made.

• Can I cancel my order once I’ve submitted it?

No. You can only cancel a submitted order in the unlikely event that yourmemolio™ is delivered to you damaged or delivery time far exceeds what is normally expected.

• Can someone else buy my album?

Yes. Anyone who can see your memolio™ has the option of purchasing it for non-commercial purposes.

• How do I pay?

Online payments can be made using direct bank account debit, a Master Card, Visa or American Express credit card via PayPal. You don’t have to pay anything extra. It’s secure, fast & easy and you’ll be done in a couple of clicks.

You can also pay by bank transfer. This method of payment is free if you live within the European Union, but may include bank transfer costs if you live outside the EU. So keep in mind that non-EU citizens will have to bare all bank transfer costs.

• How secure is it to pay for my memolio™ online?

Very! We cannot stress that enough! We use the most up-to-date security procedures and applications. Our system, integrated with the PayPal system, is very secure. If you need more reassurance or additional details, please contact us.

• How long does it take to deliver my memolio™?

That depends on where you live. It takes us about 5 days to print & assemble your album. If you live in Europe your memolio™ should arrive within 10 business days after we receive your payment. If you live on another continent you should allow 15 business days for delivery. If you feel it’s taking too long please contact us and we’ll figure it out!

• Can I pay extra for express delivery?

Not at this point. But we might offer this option in the future. Right now all orders are shipped Priority and delivered by Swiss Post International.

• How do I order a memolio™ voucher?

You can order memolio™ vouchers directly from our store page. They are a printable PDF that includes information on what a memolio™ is and how to make an album. You can easily add a personalized message to your voucher and have the option of sending it directly to the person you bought it for.

• Who will be able to see my memolio™ albums?

That depends on what privacy setting you choose. There are 3 privacy settings: private, shared & public. If you choose private, only you can view your album. You can share your private album with your friends & family, by sending them a unique URL & password. If you choose public, you can share your memolio™ with the whole world!

In a nutshell:
a) Private – visible only to the album creator
b) Shared – visible to friends & family chosen by the album creator
c) Public – viewable by anyone

• Do people have to register to view my shared album?

Nope. Simply send them the unique URL & password of your memolio™. That’s it!

• Can I share my drafts?

Yes. Simply send them the unique URL & password of your draft.

• What is a Memolian?

A funny name for a member of the memolio™ community

• What are favorites?

Favorites are a way of bookmaking albums you like, so they are easy to find later. To add to your favorites list, click the heart  button under the memolio™ you’d like to add. You can view your favorites on your ‘my memolios’ page.

• How do I post on my Facebook Wall?

Click on any public memolio™ album you’d like to share, then click the ‘Add to wall’ button on the right side of the page and log in to your Facebook account.

• How do I embed my album on my website or blog?

First, select a memolio™ album that you’d like to embed and look for the ‘Embed this album’ section in the right column. Next, copy the code from the box and insert it in your website or blog. It’s that easy! If you need more instructions, check out the demo page.

Note that embedding is only available for public memolio™ albums unless you have a Pro Account. Upgrade your account here.

• Do you share my information with anyone?

No, never. Not with inside or outside parties. Protecting your privacy is VERY important to us. Please read our Privacy Policy & Terms of Service.

• Do I retain ownership of images I create in memolio™?

Absolutely. You retain complete ownership and copyright of every album you create, share and make public!

• What is your family policy?

memolio™ is a family friendly site. People of all ages, from young to older, visit and use our site. That means that all photo collections are appropriate for general viewing. No 18+ or offensive images are allowed to be posted. Inappropriate albums will be removed by our staff and can be ‘flagged’ by our community.

• How do I report inappropriate content?

To report a memolio™ album posting that violates the Terms of Service, or which you believe should be removed, click the flag  button under thememolio™ you’d like to report, or contact us. We shall investigate reported violations and take appropriate action at its earliest convenience after receipt of abuse or offensive behavior notices.

• I accidentally deleted a memolio™. Can I get it back?

Nope. You can re-make your memolio™ though and remember, sometimes second time around you end up with something even better!

• I would like a refund!

Really sorry to hear you’re not happy with your memolio™. Please contact usand let us know what the problem is. Our policy is to give refunds only if your album is damaged during delivery, or if delivery time takes more than 30 days. Return the defective album as soon as reasonably practicable after delivery and in no case longer than 14 days after receipt. All albums must be returned in their original packaging and must be in an unused condition.
