If a photograph customer knows they can find an image in Royalty Free, either in a CD ‘clip art ‘ disk or from a subscription stock internet site, why would they need to pay a higher charge or hire a shutter-bug to shoot what they want. If everybody keeps selling Royalty Free there will be a point in the not so distant future when stock photography will stop to be a realistic business.

Traditional License is under threat. With a lot of RF photographs available consumers will begin to think that all images are RF and will expect RF rights with every purchase. Do not give your best material to RF. One reason RF exists is that for each good photograph made the shutter-bug had to shoot at least 30 others that weren’t so good. It is these ‘not so good ‘ photographs that finish up in RF. Again RF isn’t good for the photography business.

Also if your selling RF don’t put travel pictures in, the volume of sales will never make them work and you’ll only hurt the subsequent guy. The highest Stock Sale in latest memory was US$42,000…

Often silver photograph frames are given for pictures of the newly born and the proud parents. These are nice ideas but frequently many are given and all are awfully similar. But there is something really different you can give a memolio. Beautiful pictures which you can take with you like your rosary.

To set yours aside from the rest, you may have a pleasant frame – or possibly a multi-photo frame – engraved with a special individualized message from within. Likewise , an engraved photograph album could be a great souvenir as it becomes full of footage of the new baby as it grows up. For a great christening present, an already-filled photograph album with pictures of relations, special buildings and family chums is ideal for actually capturing the time for both father and mother and child. You may also have clothing or nursery accessories such as clocks, bauble boxes or money boxes personalized so the baby has a practical item to be used but also something lovable they can keep as a souvenir in later life.  It’s also now starting to become well-liked to buy presents that are essentially more for the new proud elders than for the baby.

Suited to a larger budget, many friends and relations are purchasing elders an experience day getaway so they can be spoiled and preened and luxuriate in a bit of time for themselves.

This is a great present as it not only gives the elders a well-deserved break and some time alone, but it’s also flexible as they can choose when they organize it for. Other experience days like family portrait experiences are also great, permitting the folks to capture some of their baby’s first moments and the excitement of having a new member of the family.

For chums and relations on a smaller budget, a cosseting present set with bath salts, indulgent foods and a great DVD could be a great home made present, particularly if mixed with the offer of a little bit of babysitting so the new mothers and fathers can enjoy a little bit of time together.
